Edward "Shannon" Burke - Radio Host

*Burke makes grand claims about being a "restaurateur", but is actually quite unsuccuessful in business. The article below references his "mismanagement of funds" and states Burke didn't pay rent even when the bar was doing well. Addresses his hostile character toward friends, and his attempt to shift blame when his business ultimately failed:

Burke was also one of the investors in "Spring Thunder" in Sanford Florida. The weekend long event was a disastrous flop, resulting in a $150,000 loss due to poor attendance. In spite of fellow investors losing thousands of dollars, Burke collected "appearance" fees for being at the event, although less than 30 people paid to see his broadcast. Investors were hoping for 2,000 that day!

*Burke is personally bankrupt, and filed Chapter 7 in 2003.

In spite of being a self-proclaimed "good Republican", Burke was negligent in paying taxes to the government in excess of $100,000, including:

$6,356 Federal Tax Lien
$77,685 Civil Judgment - Travis County
$2,898 State Tax Lien - Andrews County
$4,291 State Tax Lien - Dallas County
$18,490 State Tax Lien - Dallas County
$1,636 State Tax Lien - State of Texas
$4,863 Federal Tax Lien - LA County California

*Burke clearly has anger toward other races and ethnic groups, including blacks and muslims.

*In November 2006, Burke used Clear Channel airtime for an on-air assault against his own family, questioning paternity of his newborn son.

*The mother of the child claimed to have ended the relationship because of Burke's alcohol issues and physical abuse. Burke had claimed on air in September 2005 to participating in Alcoholics Anonymous, which could lend some credibility to the above statement.

*Burke was sued personally in Travis County Court in Austin Texas for harassment and defamation against a co-worker and Sports Show Host Mike "Kondo" Konderla. Apparently enraged by Konderla's popularity, Burke launched a hostile campaign against Konderla and his family. The suit ended when Burke was terminated from the station in an ownership change.

*Burke is an admitted marijuana smoker, and "sometime" drug user.

*In 2006, the Seminole County Sheriff's Department responded to a call related to suicidal threats from Burke.

*Below is the receipt for Burke's online sex personal ad, paid for at Clear Channel Communications. Under the name "eddie 2960" Burke solicited sexual situations from both men and women.
